Education Program

Program Overview

SFT's Education Program aims to support inclusive, equitable, and quality education for children and youth, particularly those from underserved rural and semi-urban communities. We work to improve school participation, learning outcomes, and youth engagement by addressing both academic and social barriers to education.

Through school-based activities, community engagement, and partnerships with local NGOs, we support learners to stay in school, develop essential life skills, and transition successfully through different stages of education.

Our Focus Areas

The Education Program focuses on:

School Retention and Participation: Encouraging consistent school attendance and reducing dropout by working closely with schools, parents, and community leaders.
Academic Support and Enrichment: Supporting learning through tutoring sessions, study clubs, and after-school learning

activities that reinforce core subjects.

Life Skills and Youth Engagement: Integrating leadership, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills into education activities to strengthen confidence and motivation.
Sports-Based and Creative Learning: Using sports, games, arts, and peer activities as tools to enhance learning, social inclusion, and student engagement.
Digital Literacy and STEM Awareness: Introducing learners to basic digital skills and STEM concepts through low-cost, tech-enabled and practical learning approaches where possible.

Our Approach

We implement education activities through:

School-Based Learning Hubs: Structured sessions conducted in partnership with schools during or after school hours.
Peer-Led and Youth-Led Activities: Engaging youth mentors and peer educators to support learning and positive role modeling.
Parent and Community Engagement: Working with parents and caregivers through school meetings to promote supportive learning environments at home.
Partnership-Based Implementation: Delivering activities jointly with NGOs, schools, and community organizations to maximize reach and sustainability.
Digital and Media Platforms: Sharing education messages, learning tips, and youth stories through social media and online platforms.

Expected Outcomes

Through the Education Program, we aim to:
